We’ve all heard of the “Zombie Apocalypse,” but now it’s time to stop talkin' about it and start bein’ about it.
At 8:00 PM on October 30th, the dead will rise in Boone. You can be a zombie or a “survivor”, but if you’re not a zombie, try to play the part – you have the power to keep the energy alive. If you ARE a zombie consider being a “themed zombie” (i.e. beach party zombie, vegetarian zombie, mountaineer zombie, cheerleader zombie, Evil Dead Ash, Shaun of the Dead, other things related to the undead, etc), but normal zombie attire WILL certainly suffice.
We will meet in Sanford Mall next to the Old Belk Library, then we will shamble on over to Beanstalk Coffee House (where the owner is generous enough to offer discounted coffee and drinks to all those in costume). From Beanstalk we will follow the indicated route (bloody arrows) that will take us down King street, and around campus to (gently) terrorize the locals.
When Hell is Full, The Dead Will March Into Boone
Rules and such
No destruction of property
Try to scare the hell out of anybody and everybody, but please try to avoid confrontations with noticeably unwilling participants.
We are not responsible for whatever you consume before or after the Zombie March, just, uh…be cool and act normally….like a normal zombie that is.
Don’t be bashful, be badass, try to stay in zombie character as much as possible.
Don’t crowd the streets and block traffic, tempting though it may be. You can try to get a response from passerby, just don’t get hit by a car or cause a car wreck.
Please keep the blood-letting to a minimum, as in don't slop the red stuff all over the place. Let's keep the streets of Boone beautiful and blood-free.
Practice this phrase:
“WHAT DO WE WANT?" - "BBRRRAAAAIINNS!"
"WHEN DO WE WANT IT?" - "BBBRRRRRRAAAAAAIIIIINNNSSS!"
